Division of Securities

The Division of Securities is responsible for administering the Florida Securities Investor Protection Act, chapter 517, Florida Statutes. The division’s functions include regulating the offer and sale of securities in, to or from Florida and registering and examining state investment advisers, broker-dealers and their associated persons.

The division consists of the Bureau of Registration and the Bureau of Enforcement. The Bureau of Registration processes registration applications and the Bureau of Enforcement conducts examinations for compliance with applicable regulations.
