Office of General Counsel

The Office of the General Counsel (OGC) provides legal services and legal support services in all aspects of the agency’s daily operations necessary to implement the OFR's statutory and regulatory oversight.

While the Office of General Counsel can respond to inquiries from the public and regulated entities regarding the OFR's legal responsibilities and authority, it is prohibited from providing private legal representation, interpretations of the statutes or rules the OFR administers, legal opinions, or legal advice. Anthony Cammarata, General Counsel - (850) 410-9703

Mr. Cammarata has extensive litigation and trial experience in criminal and administrative law. He has managed law offices in private practice and has many years of experience supervising and training lawyers in the areas of ethics, litigation, and effective trial advocacy. He served the agency as Deputy General Counsel and Chief Ethics Officer prior to his appointment as General Counsel in November of 2016. Mr. Cammarata has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Eckerd College. He received a Master of Science and his Juris Doctorate from St. Thomas University.
